A Letter From Dr. Donna Beallis to her patients:
8/25/05
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a very
important change in my medical practice with Carle Foundation Physician
Services.
In the recent weeks, I’ve faced difficult decisions
regarding my continued medical practice and growing obligations at home with my
children. Motherhood is very important to me, and so I have decided to limit my
medical practice at this time.
Effective September 1, 2005 I will be reducing my hours in
the office, working 8am-11am daily. Realizing that adult primary care services
cannot be provided appropriately within this time, I am shifting my focus for
patient care to Female Wellness and Prevention (ages 5-40). It is my intention
to immediately begin making this shift.
I will keep appointments with anyone who currently has a
scheduled appointment. However, with my new office hours, if you call to
schedule a new appointment please anticipate that my availability will be
significantly reduced. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may
cause you.
My colleagues in Family Practice and Adult Medicine will be
available to see you for health care needs falling outside the parameters of my
practice. (This includes Family Nurse Practitioners Janet Baker and Vickie
Bushur.) Our clinic administration is presently
seeking additional primary care provider staff to assist with the growing needs
of our patients.
Thank you for your understanding and support, I have
enjoyed the relationships that I have built over the years with my patients.

Foundation Physicians, please call 217.258.5900.
